Runners will enjoy a HUGE holiday light display setup annually inside the park along with festive holiday music at the finish line!
Please join us on Saturday December 7, 2024 for 4th Annual Festival of Lights 5K at Veterans Memorial Park in the Town of Niagara. All participants who register by November 29th at 9am are guaranteed to receive one of our cool Festival of Lights t-shirts in their requested size. We will order a small supply of extra shirts that will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis until they are gone. An alternate gift item (TBD) will be presented to any late registrant who does not receive a shirt. Net proceeds from the race will be used to purchase toys for students at Tuscarora Indian Elementary School!
START/FINISH
The race will start and finish at Veterans Memorial Park in the Town of Niagara using USATF Certified Course #NY18006JJ. Start time is set for 4pm and the sun will begin to set around 5pm so we can all enjoy their HUGE holiday light display. Both the start and finish line are located in the large parking lot adjacent to the Senior Center/Recreation Building. Most of the course is on asphalt however the woodland section is a packed gravel trail. There will be one water stop located at the mid point and bottled water will be provided at the finish line.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUPOnline registration will remain open right up until the start of the race. Packet pickup and race day registration will take place at Calvin K. Richards Senior/Youth Activity Center located near the finish line from 2:30 pm right up until the start of the race at 4:00 pm. POST RACE CELEBRATION
Race organizers will be serving delicious Favorite's Pizza after the race at the Calvin K. Richards Senior/Youth Activity Center along with bottled water at the finish line. There will also be music and a post race awards ceremony.
PARKING
There will be plenty of free parking at Veterans Park! The lot closest to the finish line can hold approximately 40 cars and the other lots (walking distance away) can hold hundreds of vehicles if needed.
AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female 5K finishers. Custom age awards will be presented to the top 3 male and female runners.
Age Groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 and older.

CANCELLATION POLICY
There will be no refunds. In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, etc), we reserve the right to postpone/reschedule the event at our discretion or offer a virtual alternative if necessary.
TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Professional timing and finish line services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
