Please join us on Saturday December 4, 2021 for inaugural Festival of Lights 5K at Veterans Memorial Park in the Town of Niagara. Race organizers are in the process of designing a beautiful and scenic USATF Certified course that will take runners on park pathways, wooded trails, and the surrounding neighborhood. During the month of December the park is decorated with beautiful holiday lights and decorations! All participants will receive a Festival of Lights 5K t-shirt* and the first 150 registered participants will also receive a beautiful custom finisher medal!
The race will start and finish at Veterans Memorial Park in the Town of Niagara. We will be working on the final course design in the coming months and will post it here once completed. Start time is set for 4pm and the sun will begin to set around 5pm so you can enjoy the beautiful holiday lights setup throughout the park!

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUPPlease note that there will be no race day paper registration. Online registration will be open right up until the start of the race. Our socially distanced packet pickup service will take place in the parking lot of the park from 2:30 pm right up until the start of the race at 4:00 pm. Participants must wear a mask and/or follow current social distancing guidelines before and after the race or when moving around the park property. Light food/snacks will be provided to runners after the race along with bottled water. Please follow the rules at all times for your safety and the safety of others!5K Live Race Registration
*All participants who register by 11/29/21 will be guaranteed to receive an official Festival of Lights 5K t-shirt! Extra shirts (if any) will be provided on a first come-first serve basis.

Can't make the race... Participate virtually! Simply sign up for the Virtual Race option and you get to choose the location and time to get out on your own and run/walk your 5K between 12/1/21 and 12/31/21. Feel free to use the FREE IYR Virtual App to track and score your run. You will also be able to manually enter your finish time directly to the IYR Results Page starting on 12/4/21 and ending on 12/31/21. POST RACE CELEBRATION
Race organizers will be providing grab & go food/snacks at the finish line along with bottled water. At this point in time there is no formal post-race celebration being planned due to Covid, however participants are invited to stick around and enjoy the beautiful lighted dispays as the sun sets on the park.
There will be plenty of free parking at Veterans Memorial Park!
AGE GROUPS & AWARDS
Trophies will be presented to the 1st place overall male and female 5K finishers. Age group rankings will be published on this page and participants will have the ability to print out custom finisher certificates from home after the race.
Age Groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85 and older.

There will be no refunds. In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, or for any other reason deemed necessary by race organizers (ex: state of emergency, etc), we reserve the right to postpone/reschedule the event at our discretion or offer a virtual alternative if necessary.
TIMING & FINISH LINE SERVICES
Gun start/chip finish timing services using industry leading Jaguar Electronic RFID timing will be provided by Race Management Solutions. Results are updated throughout the race in real time and can be accessed at any time after crossing the finish line using any one of the following options:
